T. J. Addington

T. J. Addington is the international ministry leader of the Evangelical Free Church of America and an organizational consultant, speaker, and author. He has served as a pastor and currently leads a staff of 550 personnel working in more than seventy-five countries. Over the past twenty years, he has consulted with thousands of church and ministry leaders on issues of governance, leadership, missional clarity, and ministry teams.

He is the author of three books: Leading from the Sandbox: How to Develop, Empower, and Release High-Impact Ministry Teams ; High-Impact Church Boards: How to Develop Healthy, Intentional, and Empowered Church Leaders ; and Live Like You Mean It: The 10 Crucial Questions That Will Help You Clarify Your Purpose, Live Intentionally, and Make the Most of the Rest of Your Life .

T. J.’s passion is to see ministries be all they can be. He is the son of medical missionaries and grew up in Hong Kong, where he developed a love for the world. T. J. resides in Minnesota with his wife of thirty-three years, Mary Ann, and is the father of two children, Jon and Steven (Chip). In his spare time, he enjoys reading, traveling, writing, and fly-fishing.
